Having pain around the lower butt/upper hamstrings area that won't resolve? Something that often gets over looked is entrapment of the posterior cutaneous nerve of the thigh. It mostly gets overlooked because most practitioners don't even know it exists, let alone what to do about it if entrapped. If this is a problem, you can actually work it pretty well on your own with a massage gun. Lay on your side with your hip and knee fully flexed. Use the massage gun with superior (toward the head) strokes to the bottom of the glute area. If you feel a really painful spot, just avoid that.
